Truly,the turn of this century has been a watershed in American History ,Politics and Societal-relationships with the Rest of the World ...What with Osama Bin Laden,the Outlaw,terrorizing the World with a brutal-attack in the centers of World-Power on that fateful September 11th morning in the USA...What with USA launching its frontal attack on Iraq led by the hung Saddam Hussein on that eventful March 18th noon...What with Hillary Clinton conceeding her desires to the front-ranker,Brack Obama and her spouse,the former President of two terms,Bill Clinton strongly voicing his recommendation of the candidature of Obama...What with the inefficiency of the incumbent-in-office being rudely exposed to the World at he Collapse of Financial Giant-houses of Economic-power this mid-September...What with the levels of mud-slinging hitting rock-bottom to the lowly statures of a lipstick and a pig,the real yearning for 'A CHANGE NOW' has been vociferously spelt out by everybody and every Body of Poll-Campaign concerning the two Candidates symbolized by the Elephant and the Donkey ,in almost inhuman -tongue and animal-speak,so to speak...!!!
'CHANGE'they sought ; 'CHANGE' they said ; 'CHANGE' they did the face of the .Mr.President who will reside in the White House and rule the World as a demi-God...But,what exactly would this 'CHANGE' mean and imply to those who helped bring about this 'change' by out-voting those who voted to 'not to let the party in power change seats'...?And,Who actually outnumbered the votes seeking the 'CHANGE'...? Does this choice by the Ballot for a 'change' truly bring about the 'CHANGE' desired by these 'supporters-of-change'?What indeed is the meaning and substance of the demand for 'CHANGE' ,within the boundaries of those who cast the vote and the billions of those who without having the opportunity to cast their vote [being NON-AMERICANS,i.e; 'the Rest-of-the-World' ]have the premonition of a 'CHANGE' sweeping their regions too by this impending change in the Face of the President of USA...?Whither the 'CHANGE'?Who will facilitate the 'CHANGE'?...
- THESE ARE THE MOOT QUESTIONS POSED BY THE EXPECTED VERDICT OF THE USA-ELECTION RESULT :may I proceed to pose a few to the rallyists at Grand Park this evening (in sheer humility and meek ignorance ,and not out of any rancour-imagined or latently present in Mainland America)...?
What is the take of Mr.President-in-Waiting on the following issues:-
1. Will USA yet require an agenda to erase the 'Big-Brother'-attitude displayed
(as in Iraq and elsewhere,best known to all affected-parties/countries?
2. Will USA be a Government'of the people for the people by the people'and will he
really induct Able Advisers/Secreatries/Officials from the 'rival'-party?
3. Will USA continue to be the biggest 'defaulter' in its grants and 'subscriptions'
to United Nations Organization's Bodies such as the UNESCO and the UNICEF?
4. Will the USA still regard China as an equal and hold it in respectful distance of
Democracy and continue to turn a Nelson's Eye to China's Infringement of Inter
natinal Treaties,Pacts [including Nuclear - Energy ]?
5. Will the USA continue to decry 'outsourcing' business-activities to India while
all the while thriving upon qualitative and cheaper labour from there?
6. Will the USA continue to permit 'market-forces' to sabotage and hold the whole
Econmic Jaggernaut to ransom or evolve a 'fool-proof Policy'?
7. Will the USA abandon its 'Non-alignment' strategy on the Oil and Islamic-Nation
demands of the fanatics or would the 'tolerant'-attitude bandied about (of late)
seek to increase the temerity of the termites called 'terrorists'and embolden
them to wage babaric wars at truly 'helpless' Democracies like India and
America?
8. Will the USA emerge as the ultimate silencer of the wolves or become a 'reason'
for the wicked wolves to slaughter humanbeings like lambs or go about acting as
ruthless butchers of the Security and Happiness sought in a Democracy ?
9. Will the USA continue to permit long-time allies in Democracy [such as India ]
to be allowing its had-working people living in denial ?
10.Will the USA continue to deny the role of 'a foreign hand' in all world-events?
11.Will the USA now truly 'change' the attitude and acceptance-factor of the
apparently over-flooded non-native Americans towards the 'CHANGE' itself or will
the neo-American flag-bearers ,[out of a gross lack of Experience and a Vision in
dealing with such matters which not merely affect the USA but all other
inhabitants of the Planet]act at cross-purposes to make it a lame-duck Government
and worsen the plight of the suffering-World outside th shores of USA [ and US
Embassies or Bases-wherever else located ]...?
'CHANGE' ,therefore ,does not come about by chanting 'abracadabra' while holding your breath or by invoking the name of Mr.Obama en masse or through exhibitions of mass-hysteria at Victory-parades or the official oath-taking Ceremonial Occassion...It is not a matter of just changing the properties of a Drama or a Stage-show...It has to be concerted - as concerted as was the Campaign to elevate One single Man of unknown roots[to the die-hard Natives,that is...] to the Exhalted status of holding the most-powerful Position on Earth ;as loyal a support must be extended to the man's Policies when he assumes Office - come what may at the end of 2013;he ought to also rise up to the stature of a 'MAN-OF-CHANGE' by becoming a 'changed-man'who single-handedly handles the Dreams,the Aspirations,the Hopes,the Plans, the Lives ,the Future, the very meaning of Existence for countless human-beings - each one and every one of us who cannot ever dream of assuming that Seat-of-power to direct the Fate of Mankind ,for Generations to come...!!!
So will he or will he not be successful in bringing about the 'CHANGE' is immaterial,impertinent and irrelevant now ...What the Voters of America as well as all Votaries of Change ought to bear in mind is that they must not change their Goodwill for the Victorious Man or 'change' can never happen...It is the righteous Wind for a caring man who can stand up with the World and face the issues confronting the different regions in various dimensions of Governance that ushered him to this important position at a very crucial stage of evolution of the World from
a bi-polar to a unilateral force...Unite the World,Mr.Obama-the Americans have united to give you that chance to change ...Are you indeed the 'MAN-OF-CHANGE'?

MAY THE LOTUS BLOOM NOW !
The National meeting of the BJP(the Bharateeya Janatha Party)going on at Bengalooru seeks to become a repeat enactment of sessions of the past decades - a real risk of it being relegated to another 'political fiefdom' of the chosen few UNLESS it lets the real workers , organizers and the millions committed to the philosophy of the Party-within and outside INDIA...
( As one who has assisted in matters of constitution,legislation,policy and current issues for a certain State Legislature Party and it's State Parliamentary Party ,I for one know that it has been the singularly dedicated and greatly appreciable Management Prowess of Mr.A.B.Vajpayee and Mr.L.K.Advani which had shot this 2-M.P.s party sitting as a minuscule entity to shoot up to wield the reins of the Central Government ,in most trying circumstances - they are two- of- a- mold,certainly good for all who are led by them and have been banking upon them to fulfill the incomplete ,unfinished and ignored tasks on the Agenda of the BJP ).
...Whereas those opposed to the rise of the stalwart politicians and those not conversant with the true colors of all political creatures in the great sub-continent brand the BJP to be a 'Hindu Right-Wing'-party , the facts speak otherwise ...(I am tempted to cite the instance of a certain Muslim youth leader who had brought a few 'paans' for an accompanying Leader had risen to become a Cabinet Minister and alongwith another such loudmouth who bandies to be the face of the BJP-sympathizers has been speaking out for voting the BJP to power , also among other things, to 'better-the-lot-of-the-Muslims' in the country ... ).....There are a plethora of cases where it is those hailing form the non-Hindu community who have benefited from the 'friendliness' and largesses meted out to the Muslim-population - those who have the 'reach' to the party's big-wigs...to the long-faces put up by those supposed staunch and die-hard followers of the party!)...
'RELIGION' has been the main-plank for the party to have been jettisoned to power in the first place : then,they seemed to have got lost in the labyrinth of powers what with several 'allies' working at cross-purposes to the best interests of the BJP as well as the National Government formed with their support (remember cries of -JAI SHRI RAAM' which to the illiterate ones did not mean the same as 'ALLAH-HO-AKBAR')...
So, thus came the need to harp their song of 'REGIONALISM' or 'smaller-States' which in fact and forever in a unique country such as ours shall be most suicidal and counter-productive to the Nation's Identity,Welfare and Interests too...(recall 'telengana'and similar cries of breakaway groupings who did not posseess the werewithall of moral and nationalist spirits to do their good for the region they sought to focus upon ,a la 'frogs-in-the-well'and of soured-grapes! )...
' NATIONALISM ' ought to be the single-point Agenda of the BJP from this day onwards and it can be rest assured of coming back to power ,not only at the Centre but also in any and almost every other State of the country which has elections in the offing : the need of the hour is not 'Appeasement' of the 'Minority' or the 'Disgruntled' but 'Unity' which alone is the paramount need of the hour :
( As the discerning mind would know the matters of Governance such as price-control,checking of inflation,controlling unemployment-rates are all impossible to be dealt with sitting in the Opposition-Benches of the August Houses of Parliament or by demonstrating on the streets : rather only a truly capable Team of the UNION COUNCIL OF MINISTERS with the determination to govern ,the ability to enforce governing Rules and effectively stay righteous can bring about the 'CHANGES' being sought by crying hoarse at a 'closed'-doors summit or to 'fodder-hungry hounds' and eager-beaver newbies of the Eminent Press Corps ...).
'NATIONALISM' IS THE SLOGAN FOR BJP to win the ensuing General Elections of INDIA.The need of the hour is a force which shall unite the country ,steer them to wipe away the animosity generated in minds of the generally illiterate and uninformed or semi-literate electorate of the plains, the hills, the valleys, the mountains, the cities, the villages, the nooks and corners of the vast single national border of the Himalayan Nation :

To be able to rejuvenate this feeling of NATIONALISM do not disown the RSS ,the Bajrang Dal and the Seva Dals that are all Aimed at 'A UNITED NATION'- a single Republic of INDIA : do not distance your die-hard following out of fear of any criticism - your ORGANIZATIONAL-ABILITY IS NOT IN THE GUN-TOTING (a necessary evil,if it be nowadays)PERSONAL SECURITY BUT IN THE MILLIONS OF GRASS-ROOT WORKERS who are all selfless citizens seeking to participate in the nation-building exercises and not with any eye on seat ,pelf or power : Where is Mr.Gobindacharya -the humblest of your team? Why did Ms.Uma Bharati go away ? AN IDENTITY-CRISIS ...!!!
'AN IDENTITY-CRISIS' - it certainly is .There is no other apt explanation. Nor can there be a second opinion on it . You have to second my assessment of the ever re-surfacing merry-go-round that the 'locals vs. non-locals' tag takes ...Yes, the row seemingly created on the supposedly 'off-the-cuff' remark of an old-time actress par-excellence and also presently a sitting-member of the August House of Rajya Sabha from a northern state whilst being ordinarily resident in a western state - all of course located within the territorial-jurisdiction of the Republic of India (by definition, INDIA is a 'Sovereign,Socialist,Secular Republic : meaning that no alien /non-Indian can dare trespass into our great land nor seek to dare violate or transgress the laws of the country , excepting 'unless,otherwise occasioned',as it appears )...
But here arise certain 'BIG'-doubts in the minds of a Common-Politician (err, this is one who is a politician by virtue of succeeding somebody from the fore-father lineage of the family and who seeks to be counted as a commoner while bandying guns or running around with gun-toting gunmen ,the Personal Security-guards)...). . . which are these doubts?

1. What about those trying to foment trouble as well as disrupt law&order being residents/citizens/politicians living in this country and breathing it's air ;drinking its waters and feeding on it's home-grown food ?
2. What about the Indian Citizens living in the northernmost state of Jammu & Kashmir?
3. What about we poorer citizens who feel completely INDIAN and have never had the opportunity to live or learn the mother-tongue whilst being transferred across the length & breadth of the country belonging to the Category of the 'Central Government Family'?
4. What about those who having been born in the country post-independence era too are seeking to divide and sub-divide or partition their very 'home-state'?
5. What about the hard-working professional artistes/practitioners of Law,Medicine,Teaching,IT-related,HR-related fields who have settled in a certain part of the country as domiciled citizenry although born in another region of the great sub-continent ?
6. Why is Mr.L.K.Advani not branded an'outsider' by whoever called Ms.Sonia Gandhi an'alien' and a 'foreign-national'?

Greed : Owner's Pride or Enemy ?
'GREED'is the basest of all traits exhibited by the human-being and can ,in my humble opinion be termed as the root-cause of all wrong-doings,evil and is certainly the deadliest of all sins known to Mankind...Simply said,it would mean the 'desire','craving' or 'eyeing' of that which does not rightfully,legitimately or correctly belongs to one's own self ...Thus,it is by all reasoning one of the most disagreeable facets of the behaviour,quality or nature of a person...!!!
'Greed' or avarice cannot be confined to the meaning contained in the English Language-dictionary .It connotes a deeper ,cruder,crueler instinct in human activities which are prompted by the all-pervasive yearning to acquire,to own,to possess an animate or inanimate possession - either by hook or by crook;through rightful means or by wrongful ways ...
..Be it matters of food,clothing,shelter,property or power,he/she becomes rapacious and is led by a lone obsession ,viz;-'to-have-more-and-more-and-more'...when this crosses the limits of tolerance and steps over the barriers of human-acceptability of aberrations in attitudes of fellow-beings, it transforms the mind of the person concerned into a possessed beast and in the process,the greedy-person shall fail to draw the lines between civility and lawfulness and behave in the most selfish,uncivilized,barbaric ways...
..A major part of the said such individual's life-time is directed exclusively at 'amassing' or 'hoarding' and 'holding' such ill-gotten wealth or ownership - usually of things immovable and movable - physical-assets are 'built' but the moral fibre and fabric of the person's existence is depleted and affected irrevocably ...The 'thirst-for-more-and-more' becomes unquenchable ,literally speaking and the sinful obsession continues- eventually leading to untold sufferings and unexpected end to the selfish-exercise which may be compared to chasing one's own shadow at high noon-time in a blazing sun : the more one secures or obtains, the more one wants - it is seemingly never-satiated , never-ending , never- complete...Invariably,this trait ends in Misery (there is a poetic expression of the 'birth' of this negative-quality in a living - being where the poem allures to the haste with which a calf suckles at the mother-cow's udders)- this ugly phenomenon rears its hydra-heads in many walks of Human Endeavor too...
I seek to explore the causes of this singularly unfortunate,sadistic trait in everyday life as encountered in our society today:
* GREED FOR FOOD :We notice the trend of hordes of people (families en masse) flocking after dusk or after dinner-time to the stalls and carts and hotels or pubs located on the highways and even the by-lanes of many a city to 'eat' and savor food :It may be fashionable to declare this a lifestyle evolved out of the last generation not having learnt how to cook or that it is impossible to devote time at home after long travel/work-hours to prepare the delicacies or even a laborious process of 'making rotis' ...But nevertheless,I shall not be wrong in surmising the situation and defining it as the 'Greed' for food - many people are greedy for 'good'-food ...OF COURSE ,THERE MAY BE NOTHING HUMANLY WRONG IN 'ENJOYING' GOOD-FOOD or appreciating the food sold on the streets to 'home-made food' my dear Friends,but the moment you cross the boundary -line of moderation you would be inviting trouble and the incidence of gastro-related illnesses and digestive-formulations and tablets vying with paracetamol-tablets on the shelves of the pharmacist's is no mystery at all..!!! By gorging in excess of the bodily-needs,indigestion,dypepsia or diarrhoea are invited by the consumer .Hence and therefore,one must guard oneself against excessive attachment to food or uncontrolled intake of food...As the elders of yore said - 'Eat to live and do not live to eat...'
( As a lawyer,I would dare say that becoming a slave of the palate is akin to being enslaved by lust .So,GREED is a wrong,a sin, a crime : interestingly,often times, greed - for - food is self-destructive resulting in pain,suffering and misery to the eater himself ,per se )...
* GREED FOR MATERIAL-WEALTH :This is a 'desire' thought and bandied about to be a 'feather' in the plume one gathers around one's name as though one were a peacock spreading its grandeur of coloured-feathers when it rain-dances ...little realizing that when one's mortal life ends at a certain age on Earth,the wealth generated, amassed,created would not continue to be 'owned','possessed' nor 'enjoyed' by the greedy-person .What an anachronism and ironic way of Life this is indeed ...!!!
And the unique feature of this trait or quality in most human-beings is that unless and until there is true 'renunciation',there is bound to prevail such a desire .For any house-holder this desire in moderation is essential to 'fend' for the needs of those dependent upon the property so created....It is important that need is not mistaken for greed and at the same time , what steps into the terrain of 'greed' is to be understood . While 'Contentment' is the source of all human joy ,irrespective of the economic and social-strata to which one belongs to ,'GREED' is the beginning of the endless stream of miseries that are bound to happen ,often times during the lifetime of the said such greedy person ...One should not earn money ,make money , hoard earnings, amass wealth or acquire properties for the mere sake of 'the-pleasure-of-making-it-all'...All religious Scriptures of every Faith and Following advocates against the sinful habit or tendency to develop attachment to or a weakness for money-making or building-property...Man made money and Money must not make the man As the Holy Bible enunciates - .'it is more difficult for a rich man to reach Heaven than it is for a Camel to pass through the eye of a needle ...'!!As the Enlightened Souls have said time and again, ..'the gift of human-life is not to earn money but for serving GOD ..'
'Selfishness' is the factor that prompts all exercises of 'GREED'.It makes one unsuited to seek the truth-of-Life or go in quest of 'Self-Realization'..So, I am sure the question springs up immediately : 'how to curb or eradicate this defect of the human genetic composition(if one concedes this clever defence of a self-inflicted quality of becoming greedy for something or a personal possession) ? . . . I for one would humbly submit that all vices can certainly be controlled quite effectively by the cultivation of opposing-virtues ,consciously as well as conscientiously... 'Greed' can be controlled by practicing 'CONTENTMENT'- a virtue that very few people are born with ...'CONTENTMENT'flows by the cultivation of dispassion,detachment and by shunning the feeling of dejavu in grabbing what does not belong to oneself (either by depriving another or by sheer denial of the others'rights to the given object-of-enjoyment',so to say...!!)...let not the cynic there point out that a contented person seldom attains any worthwhile worldly-material ...However and nevertheless,he/she is on the pathway to secure Spiritual-treasures- with inestimable value, great permanence and very relevant at the end of it all , in Human - Life ...
* GREED FOR FAME : It is not wrong to say that if all the much-publicized, often-televised,ever-eulogized 'Godmen'and 'Spiritual-gurus'were to practice what they preach and shun the 'greed'for popularity ( and to be revered,kowtowed,worshipped by large numbers of people - often forgetting that it is GOD ALMIGHTY ALONE who is the SUPREME FORCE FOREVER and even the one enslaving the weaker fellow-beings in the Name of God is subservient and must die as a mortal-being from this Earth )...Every experiment conducted over the ages and even in recent times has shown that often what we spend as essential needs are costs of bowing to or allowing one's self to be enslaved by the hi-tech waves of Advertising and in fact can be done away with - to lead a longer, serene,happier lifestyle ...Sops to vanity should end ; necessities of life must suffice ... The number of clothes in the wardrobe, the array of perfume-bottles and shoes in the rack are not the one's which exhibit the true nobler ,finer qualities of the girl who would become your wife or the man who would father your children - this message must be spread to the minds of the Youth of today ,worldwide and only then can 'Inflation' be battled by Mankind ... or else, irrespective of being a gold-medallist in several professional-courses or excelling in the chosen line of profession, even I would fail in curbing the price-rise when I don the mantle of the Governor of all my fellow-citizens,one fine day ,God-willing of course ...(not with a view to usurp fame and pelf or power but with a view to make life more meaningful ,happy and productive for both the Living and the Future populations)...
* GREED FOR EASY-WINNINGS:In ripping apart the monster of greed,can most certainly learn to live and lead by example the way to beat micro-economics in established theories of price-rise as also tame macro-economics pundits by the horns : a cumulative effect will be the increase of 'happiness-quotient' in the society,in the economy , in all people of the society - irrespective of disregardful of the price-rice figures displayed by any opposition-party or commerce-chamber : HOW ELSE DO YOU ACCOUNT FOR THE LARGEST OF INDUSTRIALISTS SURVIVING BEING BROW-BEATEN BY THE ORCHESTRA OF BULLS-AND-BEARS ON THE BOURSES OF THE WORLD - how else can a big'loser' survive while a small'player' drown in this tide of human-failings ?
( Stock-exchanges are certainly the businesses' way of making you play at the race-courses without stepping out of your house,is not it ? GREED for making ,amassing,hoarding wealth is often associated with the constant bombarding of the drawing-rooms and vulnerable minds of the largely below-middle class level of people in the society who either become enslaved to vices or 'unwise' ways of lifestyle and if successful such ill-gotten wealth invariably brings with it heaps of miseries and sufferings in one form or the other - How else would you account for the hoard of 'security-personnel' guarding a 'Successful' or 'Wealthy' or 'Famous' persona- be it a film actor or a minister or a capitalist in the society? ).
* GREED FOR SENSUAL-JOYS: Beware ,the pursuit of sensual-pleasures and material-comforts is a 'rat-race' where as you run,the goal or the destination recedes... As the Ancients said - ..'All flesh is like grass and all its Glory is like the flower of the field...the grass withers;the flower fades;only the WORD OF GOD endures forever and forever ....Can any scientist or any layman deny this fact ? Why then participate in a self-defeating and pointless exercise ...

May I make an observation as I rest my friends, is it not 'greed' to take/demand/seek a 'dowry' from the woman you would wed? Is it not 'greed' to ignore the needs of your elderly and aged parents ? Is it not 'greed' to not live and let live ?
In allowing you to rest and evaluate ,assess and draw your conclusions on your own situation in Life's journey on the 'Greed-Audit'exercise, My dear Friends, I dare say please do begin with the -'WHO AM I ?' question to arrive at the right picture ...
'Greed' or avarice cannot be confined to the meaning contained in the English Language-dictionary .It connotes a deeper ,cruder,crueler instinct in human activities which are prompted by the all-pervasive yearning to acquire,to own,to possess an animate or inanimate possession - either by hook or by crook;through rightful means or by wrongful ways ...
..Be it matters of food,clothing,shelter,property or power,he/she becomes rapacious and is led by a lone obsession ,viz;-'to-have-more-and-more-and-more'...when this crosses the limits of tolerance and steps over the barriers of human-acceptability of aberrations in attitudes of fellow-beings, it transforms the mind of the person concerned into a possessed beast and in the process,the greedy-person shall fail to draw the lines between civility and lawfulness and behave in the most selfish,uncivilized,barbaric ways...
..A major part of the said such individual's life-time is directed exclusively at 'amassing' or 'hoarding' and 'holding' such ill-gotten wealth or ownership - usually of things immovable and movable - physical-assets are 'built' but the moral fibre and fabric of the person's existence is depleted and affected irrevocably ...The 'thirst-for-more-and-more' becomes unquenchable ,literally speaking and the sinful obsession continues- eventually leading to untold sufferings and unexpected end to the selfish-exercise which may be compared to chasing one's own shadow at high noon-time in a blazing sun : the more one secures or obtains, the more one wants - it is seemingly never-satiated , never-ending , never- complete...Invariably,this trait ends in Misery (there is a poetic expression of the 'birth' of this negative-quality in a living - being where the poem allures to the haste with which a calf suckles at the mother-cow's udders)- this ugly phenomenon rears its hydra-heads in many walks of Human Endeavor too...
I seek to explore the causes of this singularly unfortunate,sadistic trait in everyday life as encountered in our society today:
* GREED FOR FOOD :We notice the trend of hordes of people (families en masse) flocking after dusk or after dinner-time to the stalls and carts and hotels or pubs located on the highways and even the by-lanes of many a city to 'eat' and savor food :It may be fashionable to declare this a lifestyle evolved out of the last generation not having learnt how to cook or that it is impossible to devote time at home after long travel/work-hours to prepare the delicacies or even a laborious process of 'making rotis' ...But nevertheless,I shall not be wrong in surmising the situation and defining it as the 'Greed' for food - many people are greedy for 'good'-food ...OF COURSE ,THERE MAY BE NOTHING HUMANLY WRONG IN 'ENJOYING' GOOD-FOOD or appreciating the food sold on the streets to 'home-made food' my dear Friends,but the moment you cross the boundary -line of moderation you would be inviting trouble and the incidence of gastro-related illnesses and digestive-formulations and tablets vying with paracetamol-tablets on the shelves of the pharmacist's is no mystery at all..!!! By gorging in excess of the bodily-needs,indigestion,dypepsia or diarrhoea are invited by the consumer .Hence and therefore,one must guard oneself against excessive attachment to food or uncontrolled intake of food...As the elders of yore said - 'Eat to live and do not live to eat...'
( As a lawyer,I would dare say that becoming a slave of the palate is akin to being enslaved by lust .So,GREED is a wrong,a sin, a crime : interestingly,often times, greed - for - food is self-destructive resulting in pain,suffering and misery to the eater himself ,per se )...
* GREED FOR MATERIAL-WEALTH :This is a 'desire' thought and bandied about to be a 'feather' in the plume one gathers around one's name as though one were a peacock spreading its grandeur of coloured-feathers when it rain-dances ...little realizing that when one's mortal life ends at a certain age on Earth,the wealth generated, amassed,created would not continue to be 'owned','possessed' nor 'enjoyed' by the greedy-person .What an anachronism and ironic way of Life this is indeed ...!!!
And the unique feature of this trait or quality in most human-beings is that unless and until there is true 'renunciation',there is bound to prevail such a desire .For any house-holder this desire in moderation is essential to 'fend' for the needs of those dependent upon the property so created....It is important that need is not mistaken for greed and at the same time , what steps into the terrain of 'greed' is to be understood . While 'Contentment' is the source of all human joy ,irrespective of the economic and social-strata to which one belongs to ,'GREED' is the beginning of the endless stream of miseries that are bound to happen ,often times during the lifetime of the said such greedy person ...One should not earn money ,make money , hoard earnings, amass wealth or acquire properties for the mere sake of 'the-pleasure-of-making-it-all'...All religious Scriptures of every Faith and Following advocates against the sinful habit or tendency to develop attachment to or a weakness for money-making or building-property...Man made money and Money must not make the man As the Holy Bible enunciates - .'it is more difficult for a rich man to reach Heaven than it is for a Camel to pass through the eye of a needle ...'!!As the Enlightened Souls have said time and again, ..'the gift of human-life is not to earn money but for serving GOD ..'
'Selfishness' is the factor that prompts all exercises of 'GREED'.It makes one unsuited to seek the truth-of-Life or go in quest of 'Self-Realization'..So, I am sure the question springs up immediately : 'how to curb or eradicate this defect of the human genetic composition(if one concedes this clever defence of a self-inflicted quality of becoming greedy for something or a personal possession) ? . . . I for one would humbly submit that all vices can certainly be controlled quite effectively by the cultivation of opposing-virtues ,consciously as well as conscientiously... 'Greed' can be controlled by practicing 'CONTENTMENT'- a virtue that very few people are born with ...'CONTENTMENT'flows by the cultivation of dispassion,detachment and by shunning the feeling of dejavu in grabbing what does not belong to oneself (either by depriving another or by sheer denial of the others'rights to the given object-of-enjoyment',so to say...!!)...let not the cynic there point out that a contented person seldom attains any worthwhile worldly-material ...However and nevertheless,he/she is on the pathway to secure Spiritual-treasures- with inestimable value, great permanence and very relevant at the end of it all , in Human - Life ...
* GREED FOR FAME : It is not wrong to say that if all the much-publicized, often-televised,ever-eulogized 'Godmen'and 'Spiritual-gurus'were to practice what they preach and shun the 'greed'for popularity ( and to be revered,kowtowed,worshipped by large numbers of people - often forgetting that it is GOD ALMIGHTY ALONE who is the SUPREME FORCE FOREVER and even the one enslaving the weaker fellow-beings in the Name of God is subservient and must die as a mortal-being from this Earth )...Every experiment conducted over the ages and even in recent times has shown that often what we spend as essential needs are costs of bowing to or allowing one's self to be enslaved by the hi-tech waves of Advertising and in fact can be done away with - to lead a longer, serene,happier lifestyle ...Sops to vanity should end ; necessities of life must suffice ... The number of clothes in the wardrobe, the array of perfume-bottles and shoes in the rack are not the one's which exhibit the true nobler ,finer qualities of the girl who would become your wife or the man who would father your children - this message must be spread to the minds of the Youth of today ,worldwide and only then can 'Inflation' be battled by Mankind ... or else, irrespective of being a gold-medallist in several professional-courses or excelling in the chosen line of profession, even I would fail in curbing the price-rise when I don the mantle of the Governor of all my fellow-citizens,one fine day ,God-willing of course ...(not with a view to usurp fame and pelf or power but with a view to make life more meaningful ,happy and productive for both the Living and the Future populations)...
* GREED FOR EASY-WINNINGS:In ripping apart the monster of greed,can most certainly learn to live and lead by example the way to beat micro-economics in established theories of price-rise as also tame macro-economics pundits by the horns : a cumulative effect will be the increase of 'happiness-quotient' in the society,in the economy , in all people of the society - irrespective of disregardful of the price-rice figures displayed by any opposition-party or commerce-chamber : HOW ELSE DO YOU ACCOUNT FOR THE LARGEST OF INDUSTRIALISTS SURVIVING BEING BROW-BEATEN BY THE ORCHESTRA OF BULLS-AND-BEARS ON THE BOURSES OF THE WORLD - how else can a big'loser' survive while a small'player' drown in this tide of human-failings ?
( Stock-exchanges are certainly the businesses' way of making you play at the race-courses without stepping out of your house,is not it ? GREED for making ,amassing,hoarding wealth is often associated with the constant bombarding of the drawing-rooms and vulnerable minds of the largely below-middle class level of people in the society who either become enslaved to vices or 'unwise' ways of lifestyle and if successful such ill-gotten wealth invariably brings with it heaps of miseries and sufferings in one form or the other - How else would you account for the hoard of 'security-personnel' guarding a 'Successful' or 'Wealthy' or 'Famous' persona- be it a film actor or a minister or a capitalist in the society? ).
* GREED FOR SENSUAL-JOYS: Beware ,the pursuit of sensual-pleasures and material-comforts is a 'rat-race' where as you run,the goal or the destination recedes... As the Ancients said - ..'All flesh is like grass and all its Glory is like the flower of the field...the grass withers;the flower fades;only the WORD OF GOD endures forever and forever ....Can any scientist or any layman deny this fact ? Why then participate in a self-defeating and pointless exercise ...

Is she Helen Of Troy ?
Helen of Troy may have or might not have caused distress amongst the families of the Mariners ,sailors,nobles of that era but 'BEHEN'MAYAVATHI certainly seems to have turned the tables on the 'best-laid plans' of many a 'seasoned' Politician in the sub-continent . . . What is her forte minus the scores ,nay hordes of men who throng around her day in and day out - all out of a nursed ambition to be 'close' to the corridors-of-power...it is an open secret that 'men' have become 'boys' , 'stalwarts' turned into 'minions' and 'roaring lions' have been meow-meowing to this 'Cat-woman' from the rustic plains of the Northern State of Uttarpradesh (which boasts of being the most populated State of INDIA and therefore having the maximum number of Assembly-seats in the State's Legislative Assembly...It is true that she by herself has no 'feather' , no 'attainment, no 'credential' whatsoever to be crowned the 'Queen Razia of the 21st Century' but the trappings of belonging to a 'dalit'-caste,being the bete noire annointed by that 'elephantine' political-figure(since deceased),Kanshiram and the wealth which has been ammassed by the coffers of her BSP(Bahujan Samaj Party)and being able to play the 'upper'-classes welcome card to naive ,desperate,hungry politicos of the hinterlands and common mindset of suffering upper lower class and those of the lower middle class-strata of the Societal set-up prevailing in this great country (predominatly vociferous over the last two decades)has led to this anamoulous situation of one who decried 'dynastic-politics' nominating her 'successor' to the top slot of her political party - IS INDIA A PRIVATE ESTATE TO BE WILLED BY ANYBODY AT ALL?
Who Am I ? - Let each and every right-thinking member of the 'Intelligentsia' of our era ruminate on the perilous trend in vogue - whereas a boy or girl in our country is still dependant on one's parents for existence at the age of 18-years, they have been empowered to cast their 'vote' at the General Elections...Where has our 'COLLECTIVE WISDOM' gone? Where do we want to be led ? Where are all those greats of the 'MERA BHARAT MAHAN' and the 'LEAD INDIA' and 'WE,THE PEOPLE OF INDIA' - campaigns ?Wake up friends and do your might - by word of mouth and personal precept,practice and efforts to prevent the decimation of the Quality of Leadership of INDIA : are we so bankrupt of the strength of individual character or is it advisable to watch 'men-of-steel' being turned to 'helpless' eununchs of a democratic,educated,advanced Nation as ours?
Is Ms.Mayavathi a better actress than Nargis(wasn't she the actress who donned the role of 'MOTHER INDIA'? ),a more desirable Head of Government than the good ,old Mr.Laloo Prasad Yadav ...(are you listening Mrs.Rabri Devi? Do we need such a 'mob-fervor' by orchestration of the 'popularity' of one 'cat-woman' in order to seek a CHANGE FOR INDIA?Do we have no Obamas or Mahatma Gandhiji's to 'bring about a changed Society?'Do you think one who cries by blood can shed the thirst for blood once seated on the throne?
